COURSE OBJECTIVE:
To provide participants with the theoretical knowledge and technical practice required to pass the rigging and lifting operation practice.

COURSE CONTENT:
· Introduction of the Course Program
The content of this rigging and lifting course that this is practical subject of rigging and lifting to make participants understand and to make them aware about the rigging and lifting operations and maintenance.
The course material fulfills the International Standard related to the site lifting and rigging practice, e.g. construction, drilling and general loading & unloading service requirements.

· Rigging & Lifting References
Regulation of The Manpower Ministry of the Republic Indonesia No. PER – 05/MEN/1985 on Hoist and Transportation Instruments, and No. PER.09/MEN/VII/2010 on qualification of operator & rigger of lifting & transportation operation.

Various ASME standards; B30.5 – 2004 on Mobil and locomotive crane, ASME B30.23 – 2005 on Personal lifting system, ASME B30.2 – 2005 on Overhead and gantry crane, ASME B30.4 – 2003 on Portal, tower and pedestal cranes.

Crosby Technical Guidelines on Lifting equipment, wire rope and below the hook lifting device, and hand operated lifting devices.

· Lifting Hazards
Explain lifting hazards related to rigging activities in oil and gas field including construction and general loading & unloading services, and discuss the process of preparation of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for critical lifting.

· Type of Slings and Lifting Gear
Explain the type of slings such as steel wire rope, chain, manila, and discuss the various lifting gears; shackles, hooks, and the connection sling, and its maintenance.

· Type of Cranes
General term of crane there is a structure which design in order to lift the load with mechanical equipment to move and place the materials. The subject discussion includes Carrier mounted lattice and hydraulic boom cranes, Crawler mounted lattice boom crane, Hydraulic telescopic booms, Lattice boom assembly. The discussion includes typical instruments and safety devices of each crane.

· Crane Operation Safety
Discuss construction and classification of crane operations: stability, safety factor, boom length and boom angle, etc., Prime mover: mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electric, Calculate and apply load capacity and chart, Crane operation safety.

· Safe Work Load (SWL)
Explain various types of construction sling (wire, hemp and synthetic rope, chain and webbing etc.), so the safe work load shall know for each type, and discuss the SWL for two-leg slings, three-leg slings and four-leg slings.

· Type of Loads
Explain the several types of loads such as vertical load, single choker hitch, double wrap choker hitch, single and double basket hitch, double legs basket hitch, two legs bridle, two legs bridle hitch chain, two legs choker hitch, single hitch with no end, and choker with no end.

· Load Calculation
Explain and exercise calculation of the load of material. The calculations includes safety factor, minimum breaking force and load factors, sling angles, work load limit, density of materials and table of wire ropes.

· Daily and Frequent Inspection of Crane Lifting Gears
General discussion of inspection and maintenance of crane, wire rope and lifting gear includes applying color coding system.

· Hand Signals
To demonstrate motion needs, hand signal, whistle bell or buzzer signals.




METHOD OF TRAINING:
The course activities are carried out by using electric method in which participants are allowed to have lectures, discussion, question-answer, demonstration by instructor, group work, structured assignments, video review, classroom practice and discussion. A written examination will be conducted upon completion on the course.

CERTIFICATES:
Participant who passed from the course will receive two different certificates; KEMENAKETRANS CERTIFICATE and Internal Certificate (A4 & ID Card).

Bahasa Indonesia.

COURSE FEE & TERM OF PAYMENT:
Rp. 2,800,000 (net) per person Exclude PPN 10%, for minimum 15 participants/ batch.
Payment will be made 1 (one) month after completion of the course and invoice received by Client.
